Investing Outside of Wall Street – Cashflow management

This will likely be the shortest blog ever – and perhaps the last post in the “Investing” section of my website. Occasionally, when I have something important to share, I will. Otherwise, the focus will solely be on the “War*Peace*Gratitude” section.

Each morning, as a matter of routine before getting out of bed, I check our bank accounts – both business and personal – to make sure that there is nothing unusual going on. For the most part, it takes no more than a few minutes. The benefit of this habit is that, in a rare instance when there is an anomaly, I know it happened within the previous 24 hours. This makes it easy to not only address but resolve the issue quickly.

In addition, twice a month at regular intervals, I manage our cash flow, making sure that all bills are scheduled to be paid. That’s it.

As you can see, “cashflow management” may sound like a big task but, really, it isn’t – especially if you make it a habit to pay attention on a daily basis.

Happy investing!
